Hypnobabies® is a complete childbirth preparation course that teaches the same medical hypnosis techniques used by people who undergo surgery with hypnosis as their only anesthesia. Couples will learn about the stages of birth, prenatal nutrition and exercises, how to stay healthy and low risk, and powerful “Eyes Open” childbirth hypnosis. Mothers are awake and aware, and can move about freely, still very relaxed, still very deeply in hypnosis, and still completely comfortable while giving birth.
Mother and Birth Partner:
- Learn about the 3 stages of birth
- Learn how fear and negative expectations can cause pain in childbirth
- Learn how hypnosis works, and that ALL hypnosis is SELF-hypnosis
- Learn how to create natural anesthesia using ‘only’ your mind
- Learn how mom can stay healthy and low risk through nutrition, and prepare for birth with prenatal exercises
- Learn about your options for birthing
- Create a written plan that lists your birth preferences
- Participate in a Hypnobabies birth rehearsal practice session
- Experience the joy of bonding with your baby, as you enjoy practicing your hypnosis scripts together
The Amazing benefits of a Hypnobabies® birth are:
- Relaxed Mom and Dad throughout the pregnancy, labor and birth. Both parents participate in the Hypnosis and Fear Release sessions, providing them with a sense of calm and confidence.
- Shorter labors due to lack of resistance in the birthing muscles.
- Fewer complications and interventions, as the body and mind stay completely relaxed during labor. Posterior and Breech babies can be turned with hypnosis as well.
- Fewer drugs or no drugs at all, means less risk of harmful side effects for mother and baby.
- Elimination of the Fear/Tension/Pain Syndrome. CD's and scripts are used in labor to effect post-hypnotic suggestions for elimination of discomfort and relaxation
2012 Class Schedule
Each series consists of 6 classes meeting once per week for 3 hours in Mesa, AZ.
*Registration closes 2 weeks prior to class start date.
